Honeymoon in Alaska

For our honeymoon we went to Alaska. Kim was born in Alaska and had never been back. The first few days we spent in Homer. While there we did some camping, fishing, and sight seeing.

After leaving Homer we drove to Fairbanks. The Airforce Base I was born in was in Fairbanks. We did some more sightseeing while in Fairbanks.

The second day we were in Fairbanks we drove to North Pole, AK. where my parents lived when I was born. In North Pole, AK they have a Santa Clause House where you can see reindeer, buy souveniers, and visit with Santa and mrs. Clause. We also saw the apartments my parents lived in when I was born.

The next day we went to do some more sight seeing, and went to a salloon my dad went to when they lived there. My dad was not a member when I was born.

We went to pioneer villiage one night while in Fairbanks. While there we had a all you can eat dinner of halibut, prime rib, and all the fixens. They had some old machines they used for mining there as well.

Trip to California

Matt and I love to travel, and because I have family in California we have been there twice in the last two years. Some of the things we did while there was go to San Fransisco(China Town, Lombard Street, North Beach, Trolley Square, and Fishermans Wharf). We also went to the Jelly Belly Factory, Bodega Bay, and the Charlie Brown Museum.

Adoption update

In Sept. Matt and I started the adoption process through LDS Family Services. We are really excited about the posibility of becoming parents soon. We have done most of the paperwork, except for Matts Physical, and some of our references haven't come back yet. The FBI background check has been sent off, and we went to our first adoption seminar on thursday night. Please keep your eyes and ears open for anyone who might be interested in placing their baby for adoption and give them this blog address.
